The yellow mounds get their colors from deposits left by a prehistoric ocean and jungle that once covered the central U.S.

We imagine the pioneers had a rather difficult time passing through this land.

Goats prove that life will always find a way, even in the harshest landscapes.

We found a prairie dog village!

Bison were abundant in the western sections of the park.

We found a so-called primitive campsite that had bathrooms, trashcans, and this charming picnic table.

Storm clouds threatened a wet night.

Andrew desperately attempts to fix the laptop. Our maps. Our pictures. Our route. We need that laptop.

The laptop never got fixed, but the angry sky recovered.
