Our campsite in Yellowstone National Park.

Roaring Mountain could once be heard from many miles away.

Even the drives between main attractions were astounding.

The Mammoth Hot Springs area of the park is known for its calcium carbonate terraces.

We again question whether we are on Earth.

As the Minerva terraces reveal, the underground geothermal structures are constantly changing. Water used to rush down this once-colorful slope.

Some features will spontaneously go dry while new ones appear unexpectedly

Liberty Cap.

The geothermally active areas of the park remain barren while the remainder is lush and brims with life.
